Nook tablet release date, specs, features and Comparison with the popular tablets

As expected, bookstore mega-chain Barnes & Noble has launched its answer to Amazon’s Kindle Fire. The new Nook Tablet will bring a 7-inch VividView Color Touchscreen displays 16 million colors ultra-bright with a resolution of 1024×600 (169PPI), a dual core processor & 1 GB of RAM, a 16GB of built-in memory, which is further expandable by way of a microSD slot. Moreover, The Nook Tablet supports videos up to 1080p and 11.5 hours of battery life. The tablet is all about multimedia content, naturally, offering up from Netflix and Hulu Plus pre-loaded on the device.
The Tablet will cost you $249 ($50 more than the competition from Amazon). Pre-orders begin now (6th, Nov.), and the slate will start shipping next week (16th, Nov.). Thus the B&N also constitutes a new product line Simple Touch, Color, Tablet versus Amazon’s Kindle, Touch, Fire.
