In August 18, HP officially renounced webOS and stopped TouchPad Tablet PC operations. It is only six months since Hewlett-Packard Touchpad officially released in early February. February 2011: released at the beginning of confidence
February 10, Hewlett-Packard with acquisition of Palm held the new conference int the theme of “Think Beyond (beyond imagination)” in San Francisco, USA. In the conference, in addition to Hewlett-Packard HP Veer, HP Pre3 webOS two new mobile phones. We are also pleased to see HP webOS platform brings the first Tablet PC – HP TouchPad, which indicated declaration of the comprehensive strong return of webOS.
WebOS is an embedded operating system, and like many embedded systems, it is also based on the Linux kernel. It was unveiled in CES show in January 2009 and released the first generation of products in June 2009. Its former owner is Palm, afterwards Hewlett-Packard make acquisition. In the strategic point of view, HP seniors is clearly full of confidence in the WebOS.
